How Hypnotherapy Works

If you have read any literature about how the mind works, you are probably aware that there are subconscious needs and beliefs that are held below our surface thoughts. These needs and beliefs don’t solely determine our thoughts and behaviors, but our thought and behaviors are filtered through them. In other words, wearing a pair of green glasses doesn’t mean you can’t see other colors, but it’s going to be a lot harder to see colors that aren’t green. The mind has a specific way that it transforms beliefs and needs into thoughts and behaviors.

Getting Past the BS

The problem with telling the truth, is that for most people, the truth isn’t good enough. You probably don’t have to think very hard to remember a time when your mom or dad was upset at you for something, and when you tried to explain why it happened, they refused to listen until you gave them a “better” reason. And it isn’t just parents, it’s everybody. The problem, of course, is that after giving enough other people B.S., we start using B.S. on ourselves as well. When that happens, a lot of bad things can start to happen.

Why You Shouldn't Erase Memories

One fundamental rule of the mind, is that everything you think and feel is there for a reason. Every. Single. One. No exceptions. It isn’t just that your thoughts and feelings shape you, and help to define you in who you are, it’s that everything that goes through your mind is an expression of who you already are, and your needs in becoming that person. That’s right, I said in BECOMING that person. You aren’t your thoughts. You aren’t your feelings. You aren’t your memories. Those things are all tools your subconscious uses to help you become your true self.

Why Life is So Hard?

Everybody struggles. Everybody has problems that they’re trying to overcome. You can look at the richest, wealthiest, most successful looking person in the world, and you can bet for sure that they are struggling. People only ever present their best self to others and they hide their worst self. That person that you see on Instagram and Facebook, that’s who they want to be, but who they are is somebody much more complicated.
